Engineering Doctorate (EngD) Studentship

Cranfield University is one of the leading Cost Engineering research centres in the World ( http://www.cranfield.ac.uk/sims/cost). The Centre for Decision Engineering within the School of Industrial and Manufacturing Science is looking for two Academic and one Engineering Doctorate (EngD) positions to develop long term research, training and education in Cost Engineering. These appointments offer excellent opportunities in a dynamic and growing Centre of about 35 people within the School. The Centre is collaborating with a large number of aerospace, defence, automotive, service sector organisations in Cost Engineering.

We are looking for proactive, ambitious and independent researchers who can take the challenge of developing and leading new areas of long term research in Cost Engineering, developing further industrial collaboration and disseminating their knowledge through industrial
training and education. Candidates with industrial experience will be preferred. Specific requirements for the positions are as follows:

Engineering Doctorate (EngD) Studentship

The studentship is available for 4 years and is sponsored by BAE
Systems. The topic of the research is 'Cost Uncertainty Modelling at the Bidding Stage'. We are looking for a pro-active and energetic EngD level researcher who is capable of state-of-the-art research and pushing the boundaries of Cost Uncertainty modelling. Interested applicants should have First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree or equivalent in Engineering/Business Studies/Economics. More details:
