ConocoPhillips is an international, integrated energy company headquartered in Houston, Texas, and operating in more than 40 countries. As a Production Sharing Contractor for BPMIGAS, we operate many producing and exploration blocks in Indonesia. To support our expanding operations in Indonesia, ConocoPhillips is looking for talented Indonesian nationals to fill in the following positions.


1. TEAM LEAD ONSHORE PRODUCTION ENGINEER (Code : TLOPE)

Basic Duties:
Coordination of individual team member activities and being the focal point for production engineering support of multidiscipline teams that includes geologists, reservoir and operations engineers that are assigned to a producing asset. Significant portion of Production Engineering Team Lead duties is to provide mentoring, quality control, and quality assurance of work, by less experienced engineers. As the Team Lead, this individual will, from time to time, be asked to participate in special task forces/teams supporting senior management.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities
• Organize and administer production engineering assignments.
• Assist in developing technical specifications and preparing tenders.
• QA/QC production engineering activities.
• QA/QC cost estimates for AFE’s generated by production engineering.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with outside suppliers of equipment and services.
• Monitor production operations and production engineering performance and make recommendations to management on the adoption of new equipment or techniques to improve operational cost effectiveness.
• Ensure that the production engineering recommendations and procedures are being followed and operations manuals are being executed safely and environmental protection programs are being followed

Qualification & Experience:
• Minimum BS degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 12-15 years of oil industry experience.
• Highly competent in all aspects of production engineering.
• Must be self-directed and capable of managing multiple tasks.

2. SENIOR PRODUCTION ENGINEER (Code: SPE)

Basic Duties:
Must have experience in well surveillance and production optimization and, through tubing remediation. High degree of knowledge in stimulation design, nodal analysis, gas lift design, general artificial lift, and trouble shooting, and field wide production modeling. Exposure to wells designed for offshore and onshore environment. Should have adequate onsite experience during well intervention operations. Be familiar with tendering and contracting requirements used in Indonesia. Must possess good analytical, decision making, and organizational skills. A portion of duties is to provide mentoring, quality control, and quality assurance of work, by less experienced engineers. A Senior Production Engineer is a highly competent professional and will be asked to participate on special task forces/teams supporting senior management. They will be assigned to a specific producing asset, and part of a multidiscipline team, which includes geologists, reservoir and operations engineers responsible for enhancing value of an Asset.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities
• Organize and implement project schedules
• Assist in developing production engineering specs and preparing tenders
• Prepare cost estimates for AFE’s
• Well Servicing program planning and preparation, including remedial design and procedures, etc for various field developments.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with outside suppliers of equipment and services.
• Control well servicing expenditures within approved limits.
• Monitor production operations and production engineering performance and make recommendations to management on the adoption of new equipment or techniques to improve operational cost effectiveness.
• Ensure that the production engineering recommendations and procedures are being followed and operations manuals are being executed safely and environmental protection programs are being followed.

• Technically competent in production engineering.
• Previous exposure to drilling, reservoir or facility engineering is preferred, as well as field operational support.
• Must be self-directed and capable of managing multiple tasks.

3. SENIOR COMPLETION ENGINEER (Code: SCE)

Basic Duties:
Must have experience in well completions, major workovers, and through tubing remediation. High degree of knowledge in stimulation design, sand control design, nodal analysis, cement squeezing, completion design, and material selection. Exposure to wells designed for offshore and onshore environment. Should have adequate onsite experience during well operations. Be familiar with tendering and contracting requirements used in Indonesia. Must possess good analytical, decision making, and organizational skills. Portion of duties is to provide mentoring, quality control and quality assurance of work, by less experienced engineers. A Senior Completion Engineer is a highly competent professional and will be asked to participate on special task forces/teams supporting senior management.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities
• Qrganize and implement project schedules
• Assist in developing completion specs and preparing tenders
• Prepare cost estimates for AFE’s
• Completion/workover program planning and preparation, including completion design and procedures, etc for various field developments.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with outside suppliers of equipment and services.
• Control completion and workover expenditures within approved limits.
• Review completion operations and engineering performance and make recommendations to management on the adoption of new equipment or techniques to improve operational cost effectiveness.
• Ensure that the well plans are being followed and operations manuals are being executed to ensure safety and environmental protection programs are being followed

Qualification & Experience:
• Minimum BS degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 8-12 years of industry experience.
• Technically competent in completion engineering.
• Technically competent in aspects of production engineering.
• Must be self-directed and capable of managing multiple tasks.

4. SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER (Code: SDE)

Basic Duties:
This individual will assume a key technical role in assisting and developing implementation strategies and procedures for various field development and exploration drilling operations. High degree of knowledge in directional drilling, drilling fluids, cementing, hydraulics, bit applications, torque and drag modeling, casing design, and material selection. Exposure to wells designed for offshore and onshore environment. Should have adequate onsite experience during well operations. Be familiar with tendering and contracting requirements used in Indonesia. Must possess good analytical, decision making, and organizational skills. A portion of the duties is to provide mentoring, quality control and quality assurance of work, by less experienced engineers. A Senior Drilling Engineer is a highly competent professional and will be asked to participate on special task forces/teams supporting senior management.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist in developing rig and drilling service specifications and preparing tenders
• Prepare drilling and workover cost estimates for AFE’s
• Drilling program planning and preparation, including casing and cementing design, directional planning, drilling assembly, drilling procedures, etc. for various field developments.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with outside suppliers of equipment and services.
• Control drilling expenditures within approved limits.
• Review drilling operations and engineering performance and make recommendations to management on the use of new equipment or techniques to improve operational cost effectiveness.
• Ensure that the well plans are being followed and operations manuals are being executed to ensure safety and environmental protection programs are being followed

Qualification & Experience:
• Minimum BS degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 8-12 years of industry experience.
• Technically competent in drilling engineering.
• Previous experience in completions, production, reservoir or facility engineering is preferred, as well as field operational support. Previous experience in project developments.
• Must be self-directed and capable of managing multiple tasks.
• Have some limited knowledge of subsurface functions (geology and reservoir engineering)

5. SUPPLY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR (Code : SAC)

Basic Purpose:
The Supply Assurance Coordinator will interface with Operations, Engineering, Commercial and Finance to help coordinate the planning, allocating, and reporting of hydrocarbon production from our onshore and offshore assets. The coordinator will work within a diverse role to properly plan gas supply, allocate and report asset production and facilitate collaboration and communication across field operating groups to optimize supply to meet demand. Coordinator will also help implement systems to properly allocate and report hydrocarbon production. This position reports to the Supply Assurance manager.

Qualification & Experience:
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelors degree at a minimum. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. A strong technical background and knowledge of the producing operations are desired to achieve and implement supply plans and to resolve allocation issues. The candidate should also be capable of influencing and winning support from others to deliver the business goals. Strong core values, exceptional planning, results-driven and leadership skills are critical dimensions in this role in order to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve results within a multi-discipline team environment. Seeking a candidate with strong computing skills, specifically in production reporting and allocations systems, and a spreadsheet acumen that may help exploit efficiency in gathering field data from well testing and operations, allocating daily production, reporting business performance and key contractual balances and transferring production information across groups.

General Requirements:

• For positions 1, 2, 3: Previous experience in drilling, reservoir or facility engineering is preferred, as well as field operational support.
• For positions 1, 2, 3, 4: Good interpersonal & time management skills, with an expectation to mentor junior engineers.
• For positions 1, 2, 3: Has knowledge of subsurface functions (geology and reservoir engineering).
• For positions 1, 2, 3, 4: Possess basic business knowledge and a good understanding of petroleum economics.
• For positions 1, 2, 3, 4: Should be proficient in English (written & oral)
• For position 2, 3: Must be able to solve problems with minimal to no supervision and to have the wherewithal to know when to obtain expert help
