"Senior Tax Officer"
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for:
Assisting Tax Manager to ensure all tax compliance is timely completed
and submitted. His/her task include assessing future tax exposures and
undertake all possible efforts to avoid assessments; liaise with the tax
auditors during the audits; ensure tax reconciliations between the tax
returns and the accounting books are prepared timely and supported by
sufficient working paper; and also maintain and monitor day to day
compliance of tax accounting treatment and record. This position also
assists tax manager in developing efficient and simple tax administration
system and accounting; and in completing other global compliance matters
such as U. S. International Tax Questionnaires from Corporate Tax.
Qualifications Required:
* Accounting back ground is a must (Minimum: S1 accounting degree)
* Hold Tax Certificate, Brevet A, B and C
* At least 5 years solid experience in various Tax matter include Tax
Court exposure, preferably from reputable Tax Consultant Firm
* Good knowledge of taxation rulings (e.g., VAT, withholding taxes,
business taxes)
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively across different levels of
the organization, particularly with senior management
* Demonstrated skill to lead and develop a team of professional staff
* Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
* Proficient in English both oral and written
* Computer literate and adept in MS Office and relevant financial
software tools (JDE)
