Our client is a foreign funded Medical Research currently looking for a qualified personnel as follow:
ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma (or equivalent); two (2) years experience as an administrative assistant or secretary; English Level III proficiency in reading and speaking (writing desirable); and proficiency with the MS Office suite of software.
Duties: Provides clerical and secretarial services in support of specific projects conducted by COMPANY by managing correspondence by fax, email, and letter; prepares correspondence and media presentations (e.g., PowerPoint software); maintains files containing correspondence and other key documents relevant to the project; places and tracks supply and equipment orders in support of administrative functions of the project; maintains an appointment and travel schedule for key project personnel; tracks reporting requirements to project sponsors and monitors; and coordinates meetings of project personnel with COMPANY and outside agencies.
BIOHAZARD WASTE TECHNICIAN
Minimum Qualifications: High School graduate or Trade School; must be at least 18 years of age; must be able to lift 25 kg to a height of 1-2 meter; English Level II proficiency in speaking and writing; knowledge in use of MS Word and E-mail and other computer related programs; knowledge in use of autoclaves and incinerators; and possesses a mini-truck driver' license.
Duties: Assists in the management of the Command Biohazard Waste Handling Program. Secures daily all biohazard waste generated in COMPANY laboratory spaces. This requires proper sealing and labeling of all waste containers, transfer of all autoclaved waste to the appropriate temporary holding containers. Performs weekly the transfer of temporary biohazard waste holding containers from the main building and the warehouse to the biohazard storage facility. This transfer will required loading of full temporary holding containers onto a mini-truck and driving the mini-truck between the warehouse and main building. Properly cleans and sanitizes all waste containers and transport truck in accordance with current directives; maintains inventories of all biohazard waste containers and supplies; and reports the inventory levels to the Safety Assistant. As required, stores waste level that exceeds 30kgs, the waste will be either regularly incinerated or transferred to a waste removal
contactor; maintains logs on the amount of Biohazard waste in accordance with local procedures; and assists as a backup operator command autoclaves when workload or personnel shortages arise.
CLINCIAL LABORATORY ANIMAL VETERINARIAN
Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited university; English level III proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing; holds current license to practice veterinary medicine within the Republic of Indonesia and be willing to satisfy occupational health surveillance program requirements for job entry (initial) and job continuation (annual). Letter from three individuals holding veterinary license in RI or on staff of an accredited veterinary school finding the individual competent in common veterinary practices to include physical exam, diagnosis of disease, basic clinical pathology, selection and implementation of therapeutic interventions and hands on ability to perform minor surgery, intubations, cauterizations, phlebotomies, injections, animal restraint, dosage/administration of drugs/biological by all routes normally encountered and basic necropsy tasks. Working knowledge of computer programs for email, word processing and data entry.
Duties: Clinical rounds of all laboratory animal species to include rodents, hamsters guinea pigs, poultry, rabbits, and non-human primates. Communicates, documents, investigates problems of medical significance to an animal facility veterinarian and after consultation with the same, initiate treatment plans. Follow-up care until resolution of problem is agreed upon by an animal facility veterinarian. Executes detection methods for proper sanitation and husbandry practices to include quality assurance tasks, sentinel animal program tasks and pre-and post mortem exam and diagnostics. Participates in basic and advanced training in laboratory animal medicine provided by the unit. Engages in animal research protocols to the extent allowed by time as directed by animal facility veterinarians.
MEDICAL RELATIONS LIAISON
Minimum Qualification: An individual with significant scientific credibility in Indonesia, and a thorough knowledge of both the history and organization of COMPANY. Additionally, the right candidate should possess a comprehensive knowledge of the workings of the Ministry of Health, including familiarity with important host-national counterparts. The selected individual will also be able to clearly articulate COMPANY's scientific program to outside Indonesian Institutions, including NGOs and Universities. Said candidate should have a doctoral degree, licensed to practice in USA and Indonesia, at least 10 years experience working in a similar capacity with a US Medical Research Agency in Indonesia.
Duties: To provide liaison with all Agencies of the Indonesian Ministry of Health (MoH), in facilitating COMPANY research and surveillance collaborations. Insuring expert diplomacy with recognized medical credentials and national scientific reputation in representing COMPANY issues, including administrative, with host-national counterparts
PROPERTY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age; in good physical condition; able to lift 30 lbs. Above his head; High School Diploma (or equivalent); at least three years experience in equipment inventory; high knowledge of computer usage, with experience in word-processing, database, and spreadsheet programs; and English Level II proficiency (writing, reading and speaking).
Duties: The Property Inventory Management Technician shall maintain in accurate inventory of all personal properties assigned to U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit No. 2 (COMPANY) using the Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) or the latest Department of Defense (DoD) property accounting program. Shall maintain an additional, separate, inventory of all biomedical equipment using the Biomedical and Facilities System (BIOFACS) or the latest DOD equipment maintenance program. Process received equipment including newly acquired, loaned and recycled equipment. Initiate a Property Record on all personal property IAW with Navy regulations Open a Biomedical Engineering Division (BMED) pre-acceptance work order using BIOFACS for all new biomedical equipment. Enter all property accounted equipment assigned to COMPANY during receipt or found during scheduled inventory. Ensure a 95% DPAS and BIOFACS database accuracy. Ensure 100% disposition of accountability records for loaned,
transferred. Donated, excesses, and disposed property. Ensure that the Equipment Management cage is kept clean and in proper order at all times. Perform an inventory at least on a monthly basis 10% of the total accounted property listed in DPAS; or when the Hand Receipt Holder is due to transfer; or as directed, perform wall to wall inventory. Ensure that DD form 200 is generated in case of property being discovered or reported to be lost or stolen.
TECHNICAL EDITOR
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in English form an accredited Western Standard University; five years experience as an editor, proof reader or publisher and two years experience in web page design; spoken English as their first language; and proficiency with MS Office suite software.
Duties: The contract employee will provide overall editing of all research publications, manuscripts, abstracts, grant proposals, and other technical research papers. Services to be provided include overall editing of assigned administrative reports, public relations articles, informational brochures, and other COMPANY reporting requirements as assigned. The employee will also serve as the technical editor of the COMPANY web site and ensure the routine and timely command information is posted on the web page. Additionally, will review highly important outgoing COMPANY correspondence to higher authority, i.e. the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), US Commander in Chief (USCIN), Commander in Chief Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT), World Health Organization (WHO), overseas (OCONUS) labs, National Institute of Health (NIH), and Center for Disease Control (CDC).
SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE TECHNICIAN
Minimum Qualification: Baccalaureate degree (S1) of Technology or Informatics. Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position related to the degree held. Experienced in PC & Network Support (Windows based like W2K, WinXP) for at least 2 years. Discipline, honest, willingness to work under pressure and over time, and must have good appearance. The incumbent is also required to be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Duties: The incumbent should be able to install and sets up all new computers and peripherals. Maintain all computers and peripherals taking action if needed for any malfunctions. Advise the MID Manager regarding the condition and maintenance of equipment. Perform technical reviews for all computers and peripherals to be purchased by MID and or other departments prior to approval of the MID manager. The incumbent should also be proficient in administration and database operations with an emphasis on computer inventory (working closely with the Inventory Management Department), for software, software licenses, purchase request, etc. Function as an instructor in training the COMPANY staff in the proper usage of standardized software packages through utilization of basic user training classes and workshops. Prepare training schedules and training handouts used during the training. The incumbent should also be willing to perform other tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANTS
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age; in good physical condition; able to lift 15 kilograms to a level of 2 meters; High School Diploma (or equivalent); at least two years experience working in general building construction and maintenance; knowledge of building design and specification; spoken Bahasa Indonesian required; English proficiency is not required.
Duties: Work under the facility manager; escort and monitor outside contractors when performing their short or long term projects inside the compound; make sure all workers sign in and out at the security posts; prepare daily progress reports; report on discrepancies, accidents and problems that occur during the execution of works projects.
