Our client is a foreign funded Medical Research currently looking for a qualified personnel as follow:
LITS PROGRAM SERVICES
LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) year college degree in Biological Sciences with courses in microbiology AND one (1) year documented microbiology laboratory experience OR two (2) year college degree in Biological Sciences with two (2) years work experience in a microbiology laboratory. Proficient with computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access; English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing.
Duties: Under supervision, prepares, uses, and stores laboratory reagents; performs diagnostic assays as directed; maintains and operates laboratory equipment; accessions, processes and archives clinical specimens submitted to the laboratory. Familiar with cryo-storage of pathogens. Maintains scientific laboratory notebooks and computer data files.
LITS ADMINISTRATOR
Minimum Qualifications: The contractor will have a college degree (Diploma-3), at least 3 years experience in computer data management especially in medical/research arena. Proven proficiency in Windows based program, such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and databases mainly DBASE, Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL. The contractor must possess the ability to read, write and speak English and Bahasa Indonesian (level 3). He/she must be a service oriented person and proficient at dealing with people in pleasant manner at all times. He/she must be a keen person and able to prioritize work assignments.
Duties: The Contractor shall serve as a LITS Administrator to the US Naval Medical Research Unit No. 2 on daily basis during regular business hours. The contractor shall be required to work forty hours per week. He/she shall install, configure, troubleshoot and administer LITS Plus (computer program from CDC, Atlanta) on the server and client. The contractor shall maintain LITS Plus modules and database such as creating/setting up modules, export data, enter data and back-up data. He/she shall also give training to LITS Plus client user. He/she shall install, manage and troubleshoot barcode label software, the contractor shall track, transfer and archive laboratory specimens belongs to all departments within the command. He/she shall also collect and track laboratory data for specimens. He/she shall responsible in ensuring the data enter into the LITS Plus database correctly and efficiently and ensures proper specimen handling to include all applicable safety procedures. The
contractor shall report all technical problems to the Head of RSD/LITS. The contractor shall also serve as a technical advisor to personnel in LITS Division and various laboratories in regard to the proper operation, and/or any technical difficulties affecting the system.
SPECIMEN ARCHIVIST/LABORATORY INFORMATION TRACKING SYSTEM (LITS) COMPUTER TECHNICIAN
Minimum Qualifications: BS or equivalent four (4) years degree at an accredited university; one (1) year experience in clinical or research laboratory; English Level I proficiency in reading and speaking (writing desirable); and proficient in MS Excel software program.
Duties: Receives, logs, and stores specimens. Includes frozen plasma, lymphocytes, blood, blood films, as well as clinical and research records; responsible for the orderly archiving and efficient retrieval of these materials; work is overseen by the Quality Assurance Manager; and is responsible for the oversight of one Archive Technician.
