Our client is a foreign funded Medical Research currently looking for a qualified personnel as follow:

VIRAL DISEASES PROGRAM SERVICES
DATABASE MANAGER

Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years college; two (2) years computer experience in the biomedical fields; computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Access, degree in Information Technology desirable but not required; and English Level III proficiency in reading, writing and speaking.

Duties: Processes, screens, and enters questionnaires, consent forms, data, reports, presentations, and miscellaneous information into the Virology program database; ensures all epidemiological data, lab data, and results are accurately inputted and organized in an easily retrievable fashion; and manages data and prepares accurate reports as required.

DIVISION HEAD, VIROLOGY FIELD AND LABORATORY STUDIES

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree or equivalent in biological science. Five years experience in biological research with emphasis in viral diagnostics and related fields. Level IV (fluent) English ability and fluency (reading, speaking and writing) in Bahasa Indonesia. Must have knowledge of serodiagnostic techniques, virus isolation using cell culture, also knowledge of safety and health risks in handling specimens, general laboratory procedures and laboratory equipment. Good working knowledge in operating a computer for data storage and analyses. Skill in communicating with officials and citizens. Ability to analyze results and prepare reports/ scientific abstracts. Ability to supervise and manage personnel in field and laboratory work.

Duties: Serve as Division Head, Field and Laboratory Studies; will have supervisory authority over two other contractor personnel such as Medical Laboratory Assistant and manage daily work allocation for other laboratories working in conjunction or as a stand alone with the Virology Department. Assist Program Director to accomplish the mission and goals of the Viral Diseases Program such as conducting seroepidemiological field studies to understand viral illness such as dengue fever. Serve as primary coordinator for field and laboratory-based studies. Coordinate with Indonesian collaborators to conduct and set up research projects (Protocol writing is not primary responsibility). Interface with Ministry of Health, University, Hospital and Public Health officials in preparing and executing field studies. Oversee and manage data compilation and analysis of data prior to review and approval by Program Director. Prepare presentations for meetings and assist junior technicians in
developing presentations and publications for journals. Will be required to periodically go to field sites where study sites are being conducted. This travel may require overnight stays for one or several nights

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) year college degree in Biological Sciences with courses in microbiology AND one (1) year documented microbiology laboratory experience OR two (2) year college degree in Biological Sciences with two (2) years work experience in a microbiology laboratory. Proficient with computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access; English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing.

Duties: Under supervision, prepares, uses, and stores laboratory reagents; performs diagnostic assays as directed; maintains and operates laboratory equipment; accessions, processes and archives clinical specimens submitted to the laboratory. Familiar with cryo-storage of pathogens. Maintains scientific laboratory notebooks and computer data files.

MEDICAL RESEARCH DOCTOR
Minimum Qualifications: MD; licensed to practice medicine in Indonesia; experience desirable in dengue fever clinical diagnosis; English Level IV proficiency in reading, writing and speaking; computer literate with experience in MS Word, Excel and Access; and willing to travel if necessary.

Duties: Manages and participates in all human and animal field studies; co-ordinates between investigators, military, and civilian authorities; develops and writes research protocols; collects data; processes and analyzes samples; ensures accuracy of results; distributes results appropriately; writes up study results; and assists in management research budget, personnel actions, and logistical planning.

PHYSICIAN INVESTIGATOR EPIDEMIOLOGIST
Minimum Qualifications: M.D. degree or D.O. from an approved U.S. or foreign medical school, a Masters or Doctorate in Public Health from an accredited university; at least five (5} years of postgraduate training in clinical care, either in an internship or residency program; English Level IV proficiency in reading, writing and speaking; an understanding of spoken Bahasa Indonesia language. Masters or Doctorate in Health Administration and training in adult education a plus. Previous experience in managing a country-wide surveillance effort desirable.

Duties: Performs specified research and oversight services for clinical trials conducted by the Viral Diseases Program at COMPANY Jakarta. These include writing protocols under the direction of the Program Director and serving as the medical monitor for ongoing studies. Acting as the liaison between COMPANY, hospitals and clinics throughout Indonesia and other collaborating countries for the purpose of initiating and executing research protocols as well as ensuring the enrollment of study subjects; coordinating medication administration, sampling, and follow-up of subjects enrolled in COMPANY clinical trials to which the physician is an assigned investigator. Performs data analysis and report findings via publications and scientific meetings.

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age; have a certificate of training in administrative, secretarial, clerical management with emphasis and experience in the bio-medical science arena; English Level III proficiency in speaking and writing; knowledge of various computer software and hardware Personnel.

Duties: As administrative assistant performs computer word-processing, data-entry, and filing. Completes purchase order requests and follow-up. Prepares correspondence such as letters, memorandums, and faxes and other administrative, secretarial, and miscellaneous clerical job skills as needed to perform service. Follows the guidance of the Program Director and Associate investigators in performance of duties.

VIROLOGY FIELD STUDY CONSULTANT

Minimum Qualification: BS or equivalent four (4) years degree at an accredited university; five (5) years experience in conducting virology field studies; five (5) years experience in interfacing with Ministry of Health, University, public health and hospital officials to set up and execute research field studies and outbreak investigations; English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking and writing; and must be experienced in presenting research data at international and national meetings.

Duties: Coordinates with the Clinical and Animal Studies Department and the Laboratory Studies Department of the Viral Diseases Program to plan, organize and execute field studies for viral diseases of military and public health importance. Assists in writing human use and animal use protocols for conducting virology studies. Participates in conducting research field studies by assisting with volunteer enrolment, and sample processing. When needed, assists in performing laboratory tests using samples colleted during field studies. Assist in training personnel for field studies. Interfaces with Ministry of Health, University, hospital and public health officials in preparing and executing field studies. Prepares, analyzes and tabulates field studies data for presentation at national and international meetings. Familiar with 10USC 980, Limitation on Use of Human as Experimental Subjects; 32 CFR 219, Protection of Human Subjects; SECNAVINST 3900.39C, Protection of Human
Subjects (25 Feb 02) and other applicable laws and regulations; and also familiar with applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the use of Animals in Research, including but not limited to DoD 3216.1, Use of Laboratory Animals in DoD Programs (17 April 95); SECNAVINST 3900.38B, The Use of Animals in DoD Programs (01 June 84).

HEALTH DEVELOPMENT GRANT ASSISTANT
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 2 years documented work experience supporting management of administrative and logistical programs and activities. Some experience in the arena of health or scientific programs helpful, especially as regards COMPANY or similar development agency projects in a developing country. The candidate should be fluent in English and functional in spoken Bahasa Indonesia, and should possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Demonstrated ability to work with the full suite of Microsoft Office applications is a necessity. Work experience should demonstrate capability to take on complex administrative or logistical assignments and through innovation, motivation and determination bring order and effectiveness to those activities.

Duties: The incumbent shall provide assistance in the administrative, logistical and fiscal administration of large grants to the Virology Department at COMPANY, principally but not exclusively those supporting influenza research and surveillance programs. The incumbent will ensure timely and complete compliance to all reporting requirements imposed by the sponsor. The incumbent shall serve as the primary point-of-contact between COMPANY and grant sponsors on all administrative, fiscal, and logistical matters. The incumbent shall work directly with Indonesian partners on these grants to help them satisfy sponsor administrative and other reporting requirements. The manager shall assist the Virology Program Director in formulating budget structures for project activities, and shall track and report monthly fiscal summaries to the Director. The manager will assist the Director in maintaining complete documentation of grant project activities, purchases, personnel, and disposition
of equipment. The manager shall also assist the Director in the management of the receipt, tracking, analysis, and reporting of biological specimens coming to the Virology Laboratory.

MEDICAL RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST

Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) year college degree in Biological Sciences with courses/emphasis in medical microbiology, that includes bacteriology, virology, parasitology, mycology and mycobacteriology. Two (2) years documented laboratory experience in a clinical laboratory, with knowledge of standard quality control / quality assurance methodologies. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and a basic understanding with standard statistical tests commonly used in the microbiology laboratory. Documentation of English Level IV proficiency in reading, speaking and writing.

Duties: With minimum supervision, able to conduct clinical microbiology assays (e.g., culturing, microscopy, antigen/antibody detection, nucleic acid detection) from any clinical specimen, including, but not limited to: stool, blood/serum, respiratory, cerebrospinal fluid/sterile body fluids and tissue. In addition, must be able to conduct microbial analysis from environmental samples, including, but not limited to: food, water, soil. Maintains scientific laboratory notebooks; conducts integrity check and validates laboratory results entered into a data management system.
