Our client is a foreign funded Medical Research currently looking for a qualified personnel as follow:


EMERGING DISEASES PROGRAM SERVICES
DIRECTOR, EXTERNAL COLLABORATIONS IN SOUTHEAST ASIA

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, MD or DrPH) from an academic institution accredited or considered competitive for accreditation by US standards; at least 15 years experience working in the developing world on issues directly related to outbreak surveillance and response activities, especially but not exclusively issues relevant to re-emerging infectious disease problems in Southeast Asia; at least five (5) years experience as a senior manager on health development/outbreak surveillance projects in the developing world with demonstrable success, especially but not exclusively with projects sponsored by US Government Organizations or other private funding sources in Southeast Asia; Bahasa Indonesia (not perfect fluency, just working ability); at least (3) years experience working within or collaborating closely with any agency of the Ministry of Health, such as Republic of Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc; familiarity with the current situation of health within
the Southeast Asia region and able to demonstrate these issues by relevant experiences or published professional work.

Duties: Responsible for the collaboration and support of regional outbreak surveillance in Southeast Asia for COMPANY, to include outbreak response investigations, outbreak response training workshops, EWORS, and the Asean disease surveillance network; maintains host-national institutional and personnel relationships throughout Southeast Asia; assists the Commanding Officer in managing the COMPANY Collaborating Center for Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases; Promote, expand, innovate and adapt COMPANY’s outbreak surveillance initiatives: EWORS and www,ASEAN-disease-surveillance.net; insure relevance and credibility of COMPANY’s outbreak surveillance and response activities; assist in compliance of GEIS reporting requirements; and the completion of quarterly and yearly progress reports to the different reporting systems.

DISEASE SURVEILLANCE COORDINATOR

Minimum Qualifications: Employee must have a Bachelor Degree with ability to read and write in Bahasa Indonesia and in English level 3. The employee must have experience in disease surveillance field activities, outbreak investigations and the knowledge of website design. The employee must have innovative and creative ideas particularly in enhancing the website performance. The employee must have good working knowledge of word processing, power point and other computer tools for making presentations, spreadsheets, and data storage/retrieval software. The employee must have a strong teamwork capability.

Duties: Reviewing the ASEAN-disease-surveillance.net website and providing input to the web developers in enhancing the website performance, including making it more attractive and user-friendlier. Edit the web contents to ensure spelling and grammar is correct. Collecting/processing data and specimens during the outbreak investigation related activities. The employee will be required to go to rural field sites where outbreaks of infectious diseases occur. This travel may require overnight stays for one or several nights in these rural locations. Performing data entry for studies conducted by the department. Procurement of supplies and equipment for laboratory, study sites and field. Providing support to all department activities including outbreak response training workshop and conferences.

OUTBREAK RESPONSE INVESTIGATOR

Minimum Qualifications: Employee must have a Bachelor Degree with ability to read and write in Bahasa Indonesia and in English level 3. The employee must have experience in outbreak investigations in particular and disease surveillance field activities in general, and is able to perform laboratory diagnostics (dipsticks rapid test and Enzyme Immunosorbent Assay [ELISA]). The employee must have good working knowledge of word processing, power point and other computer tools for making presentations, spreadsheets, data storage/retrieval and data analysis software. The employee must have a strong teamwork capability.

Duties: Participating in the outbreak investigation activities including designing the study, preparation of supplies and questionnaires, specimen and data collection/processing. The employee will be required to go to rural field sites where outbreaks of infectious diseases occur. This travel may require overnight stays for one or several nights in these rural locations. Performing data entry for studies conducted by the department. Performing comprehensive data analysis and graphic presentations of epidemiological data sets (Epi Info and SPSS). Facilitating the communication between COMPANY laboratory and other in-country laboratories with regards to various specimen examinations/assays, including specimen delivery and obtaining the test results. Conducting the laboratory immunological assays in Emerging Disease Laboratory (dipsticks rapid test and Enzyme Immunosorbent Assay [ELISA]). Providing support to all department activities including outbreak response training workshop and
conferences.

SENIOR EWORS PROGRAMMER

Minimum Qualifications: A Senior Programmer with a minimum of 5 years documented work experience and Microsoft certification in mastering MicroSoft Visual Basic. The applicant must have experience in MicroSoft Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic.NET, SQL Server, Access, Visual Basic for Application, VB Script, HTML and ASP, MS. ADP.NET, and other tools for programming (Third Party ActiveX component, such as ESRI Map Object, Cyrstal Report, APEX TrueChart, etc.). The candidate should posses a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. The candidate should be integrally familiar with the design and specification features of COMPANY developed “Early Warning Outbreak Recognition System” (EWORS) software and have experience in the training and installation associated with applications throughout Asia.

Duties: Supervise junior programmer, provide technical EWORS software support to customers, solve programming problems with EWORS software, develop new EWORS software updates, and train new and existing customers to use EWORS. This position will require occasional domestic and international travel including overnight stays, involving independent interactions with participating national institutions from the region that will include significant training of local host-national staff.

JUNIOR EWORS PROGRAMMER

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 1 year documented work experience and proficiency in MicroSoft Visual Basic 6, NET, SQL Server, Access, VBA (Visual Basic for Application), VB Script, HTML and ASP, MS. ADP.NET, and other tools for programming (Third Party ActiveX component, such as ESRI Map Object, Cyrstal Report, APEX TrueChart, etc.). The candidate should posses a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Said candidate should be integrally familiar with the design and specification features of COMPANY developed “Early Warning Outbreak Recognition System” (EWORS) software and have experience in the training and installation associated with applications throughout Asia.
