PT Newmont Pacific Nusantara is a multinational service mining company in Indonesia is seeking a professional to the position of:
SENIOR RISKS AND OPPORTUNITIES ANALYST (NPN 005)
This position will be responsible for managing the integrity, reliability, and security of a database system containing information relevant to risks and opportunities for Newmont operations nationwide as well as for providing timely and regular analyses of such information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• S1 or equivalent in social sciences, anthropology, communication science, or statistics from a recognized university, overseas university and/or postgraduate degree a distinct advantage, training and / or experience In research techniques also a distinct advantage.
• High reading, writing, and oral communication skills in Indonesian, additional competence in Indonesian local area languages, especially from the Newmont operations areas, a distinct advantage.
• Advance English language with TOEFL 525 or above.
• High level computer literacy, especially advanced level use of Microsoft Office, Internet, and database programs.
• 10 years experience working in multi-national and multi-cultural environments.
• 5 years hands-on experience in community based research, project, or advocacy work.
• Demonstrable knowledge of: (- Natural resource industry issues as pertaining to local autonomy, local community, and environmental concerns among others; - Concepts such as ”Human rights”, “corporate social responsiblilty”, and “social license to operate”; - “Good governance” issues as relating to government, business, and NGO’s; - Indonesian and international Civil Society institutions, concerns, agenda, and networks; - National and local (areas where Newmont has interest) area politics
• Demonstrable active knowledge of interview and research techniques and information cross-checking (- Experience in public opinion research and analysis a plus; - Investigative experience also a plus)
• Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups from a wide range of origins, educational backgrounds, and sectors of society at large.
• Demonstrable appreciation of the current security issues
• Demonstrated high level research and report writing skills.
