Over 120 Engineering PhD Studentships

Loughborough University's Faculty of Engineering are able to offer
over 120 PhD studentships for the 2006/07 academic year. Worth up to
�16,000 per annum for three years, tuition fees will also be
automatically paid at the UK/EU rate. Candidates should have a good
first degree (1st or 2:1) in an engineering or related science
discipline or equivalent European qualification. Preference will be
given to students with E.U. nationality.

Civil and Building Engineering
Electronic and Electrical Engineering
Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering

Loughborough University was recently rated in the Times Good
University Guide 2007 as 6th in the UK and we were also voted the
UK's favourite university by full-time students in the first ever
National Student Survey. The Faculty of Engineering is one of the
biggest of its kind in the UK, generating over �15million in
research projects every year, mainly with an industrial focus. We
achieved one 5* rating and three 5 ratings in the 2001 RAE. There
are over 300
academic/research staff within the Faculty and in excess of 400
research students.
