PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) operates a coal mine in Sangatta East
Kalimantan and is one of the largest export coal mines in the world,
is an Indonesian company owned by PT Bumi Resources. Coal Production
in 2006 is expected to exceed 30 Mtpa and there are plans to further
expansion in 2007 and beyond.
In material movement terms, KPC is also one of the largest open pit
mines in the world with a fleet of over 200 haul trucks and 30 shovels
moving over 2 millions tones of material per day.

Opportunities exist for capable and highly motivated professionals to
join the Company with job assignment in Sangatta - East Kalimantan for
the positions of:

1. Superintendent Recruitment & Job Evaluation (SRJE)
(reporting to the Manager Recruitment & Training)

Key management elements of the position include:
� Plan comprehensive recruitment activities to source the right
personnel to match the organization requirement, meet KPC's staffing
plan and adhere to Indonesian as well as internal policies, procedures
and guidelines;
� Administer and conduct job evaluation as necessary or upon request
of line management to ensure consistency of KPC job grading system
within KPC;
� Ensure that all candidates are tested psychologically as per
recruitment procedures to enable selection of a high standard of
employee;
� Advise and guide KPC management and staff on recruitment policies
and programs to raise their awareness, highlight problems and
recommend actions;
� Develop policies and programs to meet the organization's recruitment
commitments as well as provide guidelines for managers to follow when
handling recruitment matters;
� Review recruitment documentation and associated costs to authorize
payments and ensure adherence to KPC Policy and Procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:
� Tertiary qualifications, preferably Psychologist, Human Resources
are desirable;
� 8 - 10 years extensive experience and proven skills in general Human
Resources, preferably in a large corporation;
� Financial and leadership skills, together with training in staff
supervision, to handle budget and general responsibilities;
� Effective interpersonal as well as excellent written and oral
communication skills to liaise with both KPC personnel and external
organizations
� Detailed knowledge of employment law and KPC regulations impacting
activities;
� Planning, Organizing, Negotiation and Problem Solving skills.

2. Superintendent Employee Communications (SEC)
(reporting to the Manager Industrial Relations)

Key elements of the position include:
� Develop a communication system in the company to ensure that all
management's concerns and policy are communicated thoroughly in two
communications.
� Maintain an understanding of employee attitudes and concerns through
contact with informal groups in order to discern any undercurrents of
unrest due to company practices.
� Develop policies and procedures to meet the organization's
industrial relations commitment as well as provide guidelines and
advice to KPC management and staff to raise awareness.
� Address specific issues based on any new manpower-related law and
regulations and monitor its implementation in KPC.
� Maintain relationship and liaise with 5 unions in KPC to detect,
discuss and overcome any industrial related issues.
� Manage the Workplace Rehabilitation Program and liaise with all
related parties to ensure its implementation in line with the
prevailing policy and regulations.

Qualifications:
� A tertiary degree (S1) in Law, Human Resources, Technical and/or
Social Sciences along with considerable experience in HR/Employee
Relations fields (8-10 years), or equivalent knowledge & experience.
� Good interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral
communication (English and Indonesian) skills to effectively liaise
with both KPC personnel and external organizations.
� Good financial and leadership skills together with training and
staff supervision to effectively handle budget and general staffing
responsibilities.
� Familiar using computer, particularly in word processing and
spreadsheet.
