PT Kelian Equatorial Mining (KEM) is an Indonesian incorporated
Company owned 90% by Rio Tinto and 10% by PT Harita Jayaraya of
Indonesia. KEM used to operate a large open pit gold mine and
processing facility at Kelian, 210 km North West of Balikpapan in East
Kalimantan. KEM has ceased its mining operation and has now continued
its activity to prepare Mine Closure with world classbenchmarking. KEM
seeks applicants for:
MINE CLOSURE PLANNING AND SCHEDULING ENGINEER
Qualifications:
� Tertiary education in Mining from a reputable university.
� A minimum of 3 years experience in a related position of reputable
company
� Good oral and written English skills for official communication and
reporting
� Report to Mine Planning and Scheduling and Services Superintendent
� High respect of company policy on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
� Be able to operate advanced MS Excel for data processing
� Be able to operate advanced MS Project for project monitoring
� Be able to operate advanced Vulcan and Auto Cad softwares for
earthwork design
� Strong personality to direct Mine Closure operations
� Sense of leadership to work with subordinates in the team.
� Main tasks: running short term planning, scheduling for mine closure
operations cost controlling and monitoring, performing data validation
and earthwork landscape designs
Remuneration:
A competitive remuneration package including site allowance and
medical assistance will be offered to the successful candidate. You
will be provided with facilities including full messing. Kelian site
operates on a 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off roster with return to point
of hire for rest periods.
