positions are based in Sharjah and will require travel from time to

PROJECT MANAGERS (PM/01/MY)

The Role
As head of the project management team you will be responsible for the
successful delivery of the project in accordance within the HSE,
quality, cost and schedule objectives. The role will include high
level interface with the clients who are world leaders in the oil and
gas business with the ability to manage complex, matrix designed
organisations through the initial engineering and detail design phase,
procurement, site construction and commissioning. The projects to be
executed will be in excess of US$300 million and will require multi-
facet management abilities associated with major oil and gas EPCC
contracts combined with the ability to organize and direct the project
towards successful completion. The position will be based in our
Sharjah office in the United Arab Emirates.

The Person
The successful candidate will have a track record of successful
implementation of EPCC contracts in the onshore oil and gas business.
Qualified to degree standard in an engineering discipline with at
least 18 years experience you will have spent the majority of your
career in the EPC contracting business and have broad brush experience
in the various facets of the management of projects,.

We would expect that you would enjoy using your man-management skills
in creating a synergistic environment within the team and be a people
orientated manager with a high level of organizational skills. You
probably enjoy the challenge of implementing fast track projects of a
complex nature and will have a well organised approach to project
management that permits the efficient execution of the project at
hand.

PROCESS ENGINEERS (Senior and Junior Positions) (PE/01/MY)

The Role
As a process engineer within the design team you will have full
responsibility for design development of upstream oil and gas
facilities and refinery projects from initial process simulation work
through to a finalised detail design package. As a member of an
integrated design team you will be required to handle the key
interfaces between other disciplines as well as developing your
potential through increased responsibilities as you develop your
expertise. For the senior positions this will involve looking after a
team of process engineers and ensuring that the project process
objectives are met and developing the team into an efficient resource
that is developing its capabilities.

The Person
The successful candidates for the junior positions will have at least
5 years post graduate experience after attaining their B.Sc degree in
chemical engineering. They will have spent most of their time with an
engineering consultancy or EPCC contractor and will have expertise in
upstream oil and gas and preferably refineries also. You will be
competent in developing process simulation models using HYSIM and have
a good working knowledge of the industry standards design publications
such as API, ANSI, ASME.

For the senior positions the successful candidates will have at least
12 years post graduate experience after attaining their B.Sc degree in
chemical engineering and be looking for an additional challenge. You
will have spent your career in a design environment preferably in an
EPCC company although candidates with directly related consultancy
experience will also be welcome. You will be competent in all aspects
of process engineering and be able to develop process engineers using
your man-management skills within the team.

CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS (CE/01/MY)

The Role
As a civil/structural engineer you will be responsible for structural
and civil design development within the onshore upstream oil and gas
or refinery EPCC business. It will necessitate developing the basic
design from a functional specification as well as verifying existing
designs and developing detail design of structures, foundations and
technological buildings. The role requires close liaison with the
civil designers to ensure the success of the final civil/structural
design package.

The Person
The successful candidates will have at least 8 years post graduate
experience after attaining their B.Sc degree in civil engineering. It
is likely that you have spent the majority of your time either in a
consultancy or EPCC company specializing in the oil and gas business
designing RCC and steel structures with significant experience in pile
design technology. Candidates with experience in the petrochemical and
other downstream oil and gas derivative companies are welcome to apply
also.

You will have an excellent working knowledge of STAAD-PRO and have had
experience in 3D modeling using PDS or PDMS. Experience with XSTEEL
would be an advantage. Engineers with a combination of offshore and
onshore experience are encouraged to apply also.

PIPING ENGINEERS (PI/01/MY)

The Role
As a piping design engineer you will be responsible for the design
development of process and utility piping systems within the upstream
EPCC oil and gas business and refineries. The role requires the
development of the piping design and layout of process plants from
both a functional design basis and as design development of existing
basic designs. This role provides the piping design expertise to the
project team including material selection and detail stress analysis
as well as the conceptual design along with other disciplines of the
plant layouts. You will liaise closely with piping designers and
ensure you maintain control and assume responsibility from the final
design.

The Person
The successful candidate will have at least 8 years post graduate
experience since obtaining a B.Sc. degree in a related mechanical
discipline or perhaps a chemical engineering degree. With a
comprehensive understanding of the design codes and complex modeling
techniques for process and utility piping systems in the oil, gas,
petrochemical you will have already completed a number of major
projects and be looking for continuing challenges. You will have a
comprehensive knowledge of 3D modeling using PDS and PDMS design
platforms and have worked closely with designers during design
development

PROJECT ENGINEERS (Senior and Junior Positions) (PRE/01/MY)

The Role
As a key member of the PMT team you will work closely with the Project
Manager for all phases of the project through to final acceptance. The
role requires broad brush knowledge of the various facets of project
management giving the capability to handle tasks across the
engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of the
project. For the senior positions the role will be in preparation for
a future Project Manager position as part of the natural progression
and succession planning for Project Engineers. Commencing with the
initial basic engineering, the Project Engineer will stay with the
project until final acceptance and provide continuity through these
phases in assisting the Project Manager to deliver the project in
accordance with the HSE objectives, the project schedule and the
budget.

The Person
The successful candidates for the junior positions will have at least
8 years experience of which at least 2 years would have been spent as
a Project Engineer. You will have commenced your career after
obtaining a B.Sc in an engineering discipline probably in a design
consultancy or possibly in the construction business. As recognition
of your ability you will have been promoted to the role of a project
engineer and subsequently developed across the board experience. You
will be looking to expand your experience by participating in world
class EPCC projects and will enjoy the challenge.

The successful candidates for the senior positions will have at least
15 years experience since obtaining your B.Sc in an engineering
discipline of which at least 5 years would have been spent as a
Project Engineer. You will have completed at least two significant
projects and will be ready for the challenges of executing major EPCC
projects. You will be looking forward to increased responsibilities
and, within a short period of time, moving into a Project Manager
role. You will have an excellent track record of successfully
completing large scale projects and your versatile experience will
provide a significant contribution to the achievement of the PMT
objectives.
