Drilling Engineer

Our Exploration & Production work further of Italy is primarily
carried out in West and North Africa, US, North Sea, Kazakhstan, Asia
and Far East. In Asia we are present in China, Pakistan, India and
Indonesia, and we are also present in Australia. In these locations we
carry out fully integrated sub-surface studies covering the whole E&P
business spectrum, from regional, basin and green-field evaluations
through to complete field evaluation and developments.
Eni Indonesia participates in ten PSCs in Indonesia, including nine in
Deep Water, and is pursuing an active exploration and development program.
Position requirements
A University degree in engineering is a prerequisite. You should have
at least 5 years experience in Drilling Engineering in an Oil & Gas
operation. Your experience should include casing design, drilling
fluid programs, bit programs, directional drilling and preferably
completion design. Offshore operations experience is preferable
including floaters and subsea equipment.
Good knowledge of the Indonesian procurement system and contract
support is important. Prior experience in liaison with government
agencies regarding drilling operations is a prerequisite.
Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written. English. In addition,
the candidates should be confident, proactive, flexible and robust
individuals who are able to work independently.
Position responsibilities
Your role will involve developing optimum well designs by applying the
highest standards of engineering integrity, safety and environmental
protection. You will draft drilling plans and support their execution
by monitoring drilling operations and providing engineering advice.
You will be expected to work closely with our procurement organization
to procure and manage drilling service and material contracts. You
will take a lead role in liaison with government agencies to support
our drilling planning and operations.
Your other responsibilities will include coaching less experienced
drilling engineers in the correct application of all drilling techniques.
