Scholarships for the 3rd edition of the
Erasmus-Mundus-course "European Masters in Material Science" (EMMS)
Dear students,
Finally we have a new information brochure for the 3rd edition of EMMS ready.
As we did it last year and as some students of the second cohort already offered, I would like to ask you to make some promotion for the programme and to spread the good news? among the students at your home universities.
Since the scholarship is very high and the programme was designed for very good students, we have to be strict on the admissions. So only encourage fellow students when they realistically have a chance to get accepted. This goes for language as well: We came to a binding agreement with Aveiro and will definitely only accept candidates who demonstrate beforehand by TOEFL or IELTS that he/she has the required competences in English.
Also, please be careful with mentioning contact persons - of course you may act as a source of information yourselves and allow that your personal contact information is used by anybody, but don't supply third persons with contact information of other EMMS students before having asked him/her. This also goes for my name. Sources for information are named in the brochure.
The framework set by the European Union obliges us to fix our internal deadline for applications on 15 February for those applying for admission and the grant. As you know, it is not possible to apply for the grant first and for admission on a later date. Without complete admission papers we can not propose students for the grant.
I added a short info sheet on TUHH. For more information the students should consult our webpage
Thank you very much for your assistance and have a nice Christmas break.
Best greetings,
Randolph Galla
