Mandatory skills � Windows 2000/2003 Specific:
- With more than 4 (four) years relevant hands-on
experience in MS Windows Server 2000 administration
- For the 4 years working experience in MS
Windows Server, at least 3 years must have been
with one company or project, with significant
Server administrator responsibilities and
contributions including Active Directory. The
database working experience must be the most
recent working experience of the candidate
- Banking domain experience is mandatory.
- Excellent working knowledge of Win2000. Win2003 would be an advantage.
- At least 2 (two) years practical experience Active Directory Services.
- Analytical problem-solving and root cause
analysis skills of memory dump, event viewer and other system logs files.
- Working experience of 2 - 3 years on Windows
monitoring tools, security tools, security patching.
- Working experience of 2-3 years on Windows
Security Auditing, security Policies.
- Working experience of 2-3 years on data backup using tools like Veritas etc.
- 1-2 two year working knowledge on SAN (Storage Area Network).
- At least 2 years practical experience in
managing IT infrastructure related incidents and problems.
- Good understanding of high availability
environments, and associated technologies
- Service oriented behavior and communication to internal and external contacts
- Good communication skills (communication to
customers verbal and written is mandatory)
- Language: fluent in English
- Willing to work in shifts
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment
- Ability to work in shifts for 24x7 coverage,
may be required to work outside usual shift hours
when there is urgent work to be performed.
Desired skills:
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2000.
- Good understanding of high availability environments, MS cluster knowledge
- Good understanding of high availability environments, MC Service Guard
- Good knowledge on MS SQL database server.
Job responsibilities:
- System Administration of Windows 2000 and 2003.
- Plan and perform and recovery of all systems periodically.
- Carry out regularly health checks, system performance monitoring and tuning.
- Ensuring all recommended patches, upgrades and
any operational changes are carried out after approval.
- Troubleshooting and fixing all system security as required.
- Maintain systems asset list and documenting all changes.
- Provide issues report and maintain
documentation of all systems and configuration.
- Provide root cause analysis for server problems.
- Support servers on 24x7 hours.
- Co-ordination with vendors and other IT groups
for all system administration activities.
Pre-requisites:
- Bachelor Degree in computer science or
equivalent qualification / university degree
Working model:
- Contract (1 year) renewable
