Employment Opportunities in a Major Energy Company in the State of
Qatar

RASGAS COMPANY LIMITED is in the business of production and sale of
Liquefied Natural Gas and related hydrocarbon products. The Company�

s
operations facility is located about 80 km north of the capital city,
Doha, in the State of Qatar. RasGas is currently building further
production facilities both Onshore and Offshore and is seeking highly
skilled personnel to fill the following positions.

Head of Integrity Engineering

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, plan, manage, and monitor the overall activities
of the Integrity Engineering Section (Integrity, Corrosion &
Materials) to meet the Company�s production objectives in the most
cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest level of safety
and environmental compliance. Manages Integrity program development,
implementation, and stewardship. This includes corrosion management,
pressure integrity, structural integrity, and pipelines integrity
programs.

Requirements:
BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering. Minimum 15
years experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
Experience in Oil and Gas operating environment is necessary. Strong
technical background, leadership, and supervisory skills. Computer
literacy.

Senior Integrity Engineer (Mechanical/ Pipelines/ Structural)

Responsibilities:
Provide expertise and leadership in the development, implementation,
and continuous improvement to the Corrosion Management, Pressure
Integrity, Structural Integrity, and Pipelines Integrity programs.
Perform the technical review and analysis of corrosion and Inspection
system data, trending of results and development recommendations for
program adjustments as required. Perform fitness-for-service
assessments and advise on equipment repairs/ welding procedures.

Requirements:
BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering. 7 to 15 years
experience as an Integrity Engineer with formal training and
appropriate qualifications. Has strong technical background and
knowledge of relevant international Codes & Standards. Experience in
Oil and Gas operating environment is necessary. Strong communication/
leadership skills. Computer literacy.

Senior Metallurgical Engineer

Responsibilities:
Provide metallurgical expertise and technical support to Operations,
Maintenance and Projects. The qualified individual will conduct
material selection/upgrade, failure analysis, resolve field issues,
material testing, with a focus on hydrocarbons (including cryogenic
and acid gas services), and participate in quality and integrity
improvement and operating cost reduction efforts.

Requirements:
BSc or MSc in Materials Science / Engineering. 7 to 15 years
experience as a Metallurgical Engineer. Experience in Oil and Gas
Industry related materials. Familiar with alloys, steels alloys,
stainless steels, and composites. Ability to identify root cause of
incidents. Ability to apply either classical fatigue or fracture
mechanics. Strong communication/leadership skills. Computer literacy.

Senior Pipelines Engineer

Responsibilities:
Responsible for technical input related to the design, procurement,
construction, commissioning, and repair of RasGas Pipelines. Design
review, troubleshooting, and technical support to Operations,
Maintenance, and Projects on all Pipelines related issues.

Requirements:
BSc in Mechanical Engineering. 7 to 15 years experience as Pipelines
Design Engineer. Experience in detailed engineering of sub-sea
pipelines and risers is essential along with familiarity with the
latest industry design Codes & Standards. Strong communication/
leadership skills. Strong communication/leadership skills. Computer
literacy.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:
Providing technical advice on the design, engineering, troubleshooting
and modification of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, and
process piping and piping components. Provide mechanical engineering
expertise and technical support to Operations, Maintenance, and
Projects.

Requirements:
BSc in Mechanical Engineering. 7 to 15 years experience as Mechanical
Engineer. Experience in Oil and Gas Industry is necessary. Qualified
in stress analysis and highly skilled in using relevant software.
Strong knowledge of relevant Codes & Standards. Strong communication/
leadership skills. Computer literacy.

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:
Providing technical advice on the design, engineering,
troubleshooting, and modification of heat exchangers, pressure
vessels, tanks, and process piping and piping components. Provide
mechanical engineering expertise and technical support to Operations,
Maintenance, and Projects.

Requirements:
BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering. 7 to 15 years experience as
Civil/Structural Engineer. Experience in Oil and Gas Industry is
necessary. Qualified in stress analysis and highly skilled in using
relevant software. Strong knowledge of relevant Codes & Standards.
Experience in the design of concrete and steel structures, supports
and foundations, concrete casting and concrete quality control.
Experience in Civil/Structural inspection, survey, and problem
diagnosis. Strong communication/leadership skills. Computer literacy.

Senior Electrical/Power Engineer

Responsibilities:
Provide technical advice on the design, engineering, troubleshooting,
and modification of electrical generation (GE), transmission, and
distribution plant up to 132 KV. Responsible for maintaining the
reliability of the existing protective relaying / Breaker system
(Multilin) and getting involved in the day to day troubleshooting and
Data management related with these relays. Expected to provide
technical advice with respect to medium and high voltage switchgear,
generators and motors, including all associated control and protective
equipment. Provide support on electrical plant and protection co-
ordination studies/settings as well as Root Cause Analysis. Provide
engineering expertise and technical support to Operations,
Maintenance, and Projects.

Requirements:
BSc in Electrical/Power Engineering. 7 to 15 years experience as
Electrical/Power Engineer. Experience in Oil and Gas or Power Industry
is necessary. Highly skilled in using relevant electrical engineering
software. Strong knowledge of relevant Codes & Standards. Strong
communication/leadership skills. Computer literacy.

Senior Instrument and Control Engineer

Responsibilities:
Provide technical advice on the design, engineering, troubleshooting,
and modification of a wide range of field instrumentation including:
sensors, transmitters, control valves (Fisher), field analyzers, gas
chromatograph (Siemens) and royalty/custody transfer meters for both
gases and liquids. Strong knowledge of process control theory and SIL
standards. Provide engineering expertise and technical support to
Operations, Maintenance, and Projects.

Requirements:
BSc in Instrument and Control Engineering. 7 to 15 years experience as
Instrument and Control Engineer. Experience in Oil and Gas Industry is
necessary. Highly skilled in using relevant engineering software.
Strong knowledge of relevant Codes & Standards. Strong communication/
leadership skills. Computer literacy.

Senior Automation Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:
Provide technical advice on the design, engineering, troubleshooting,
and modification of DCS (Foxboro), SCADA, ESD (Triconex), BMS and
different PLC and HMI systems. Strong knowledge of process control
theory and SIL standards. Experience with APC and Real-Time
Information Systems (OSI PI). Provide engineering expertise and
technical support to Operations, Maintenance, and Projects.

Requirements:
BSc in Control Systems Engineering or equivalent. 7 to 15 years
experience as Automation Systems Engineer. Experience in Oil and Gas
Industry is necessary. Qualified in DCS/ESD systems and highly skilled
in using relevant engineering software. Strong knowledge of relevant
Codes & Standards. Strong communication/leadership skills. Computer
literacy.

Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities:
Provide process engineering support to Plant Assets by effectively
monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and optimizing the processing
units as well as assisting in the development of the capital project
plan for their respective asset areas. Provide conceptual / pre-FEED
feasibility studies, develop scope of work for external engineering
contractors, perform FEED as well as detailed process engineering
design for small to medium size projects, and follow through with pre-
mechanical completion punch out, commissioning and startup support.

Requirements:
BSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. 7 to 15 years experience as
Process Engineer. Experience in Oil and Gas Industry is necessary.
High level of computer literacy, including process simulation software
(Hysys) and plant information/monitoring systems. Experience must
include participation in Hazops and familiarity with management of
change requirements in an operating environment. Strong communication/
leadership skills.

Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support to RasGas onshore/offshore facilities to
maintain the integrity of rotating equipment assets ensuring safe,
reliability, and efficient operations. Duties include equipment
surveillance, trouble shooting, root cause failure analysis, project
support, maintenance support, and engineering equipment modifications.

Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 7 years
experience as a Rotating Equipment Engineer. Experience in the Oil and
Gas Industry is preferred. Must be familiar with all applicable
rotating equipment codes and standards as well as be computer
literate. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a
culturally diverse workplace are essential.

Senior Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities:
Performs and coordinates, reliability activities on the onshore/
offshore facilities. Utilizes conventional reliability centered
maintenance (RCM), root cause failure analysis (RCFA), preventive and
predictive maintenance (PPM) strategies, and other industry accepted
reliability techniques to analyses equipment and produce cost
effective strategies to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the
facilities.

Requirements:
BS in an engineering discipline or equivalent. Minimum of 7 years
experience as a Reliability Engineer or related capacity. Experience
in the Oil and Gas Industry is preferred. Must be familiar with
industry codes and standards, root cause analysis techniques, risk
based work selection, and be computer literate. Strong leadership
skills and the ability to work in a culturally diverse workplace are
essential.

Senior Condition Monitoring Engineer

Responsibilities:
Provide Condition Monitoring Engineering support to RasGas onshore/
offshore facilities to maintain the integrity of equipment ensuring
safe, reliability, and efficient operations. Duties include vibration
monitoring, thermography, oil analysis, equipment trouble shooting,
root cause failure analysis, maintenance support, and the continuous
improvement of equipment health monitoring systems.

Requirements:
BS in an engineering discipline or equivalent. Minimun of 7 years
experience as a Condition Monitoring Engineer or related capacity.
Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry is preferred. Must be familiar
with industry codes and standards, vibration analysis, oil analysis,
thermography, root cause analysis techniques, and be computer
literate. Experience with. Bently Nevada vibration monitoring hardware
and software is preferred. Strong leadership skills and the ability to
work in a culturally diverse workplace are essential.

Power Electrical Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will provide Electrical Engineering support to the
RasGas (Onshore and Offshore) electrical generation and distribution
plant for both maintenance and project work up to 132 KV. He will be
directly involved in maintaining the reliability of the electrical
power system as well as evaluate the current system performance. He
shall also provide technical advice on our ELICS system responsible
for the electrical functions such as load shedding, import/export of
power, and generation control/load sharing. He is expected to provide
expert technical advice with respect to RasGas� medium and high
voltage switchgear (GIS - 132 KV and 33 KV), generators (GTG�s) and
High voltage Synchronous motors including all associated control and
protective equipment. He will also provide support on the design,
construction and modification of electrical plant and protection co-
ordination studies/settings as well as providing discipline support to
project Engineers/Managers and lead discipline-specific engineering
teams as necessary

Requirements:
The incumbent must have an Engineering Degree in Electrical
Engineering from a recognized educational institution and a minimum 15
years of working experience with power generation and strong knowledge
of an ELICS system. Also, experience with GIS (132 KV), MV Synchronous
motor, AFD and GTG�s (GE-Frame 6). Additionally he should posses
strong analytical skills, business communication skills (reports,
presentations, etc.). A sound knowledge of hazardous areas and
protective techniques is also required. Experience with electrical
engineering software, such as SKM, would be considered advantageous.
He should possess strong interpersonal skills, team building skills,
adaptability to multinational environment, strong written and oral
communication skills in English.

Metering Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be the Technical Authority for RasGas measurement
systems onshore and offshore. He/She is expected to provide expert
technical advice with respect to RasGas installed equipment, as well
as provide engineering advice for any proposed future fiscal
equipment. The incumbent shall have had experience with gas, liquid
(particularly LNG and Condensate) flow measurement and tank gauging
fiscal systems, with specific experience on orifice, ultrasonic,
coriolis and turbine type meters. He/She shall be knowlegeable with
the relevant standards, in particular ISO, MPMS and AGA. He/She shall
provide discipline support to project engineers/managers and lead
discipline specific engineering teams as necessary.

Requirements:
Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from
recognised educational institution or a recognised qualification in
Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 10 years specific
experience with fiscal/allocation metering technologies, plus
eligibility as an Engineer from membership of an Engineering Council.
Strong analytical skills. Business Communication skills (reports/
presentations, etc). Established global network for contacts in the
fiscal metering discipline. Team player and coach. Specialist in
fiscal and allocation metering techniques and a working knowledge of
appropriate international standards such as ISO, MPMS and AGA. At
least 15 years working experience with the majority experience gained
in the oil and gas industry. Computer literate with knowledge of SAP
and commonly used Microsoft business software packages. Good written
and oral communication skills in English. Good leadership and
interpersonal skills. Good adaptability to multinational environment,
with wide exposure to various cultures and customs. Support Continuous
Improvement by way of opportunity identification, idea generation,
harvesting implementation and evaluation of project.

Safety Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:
Performs functional safety duties which include development of
procedures, designs and implements modifications, and reports
functional safety KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Conducts and
supervises Functional Safety Systems (FSS) test teams during shutdown
and reports performance of the functional safety systems. Contributes
to decisions concerning functional safety and operation improvements
through safety instrumented systems and related projects.

Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. Membership
of professional organization is an advantage. Minimum 5 years in
Functional Safety engineering design, design modifications (such as
F&G, PESD). Some hands on experience with PLC programming and Triple
Modular Redundant (TMR) systems for safety and shutdown systems.
Knowledge and application of relevant International safety standards,
such as, IEC and ANSI/ISA is necessary. Understanding of safety and
environmental requirements and risk assessment. Must have a high level
of computer literacy with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
software and integrated business systems (e.g. SAP). Good adaptability
to a multinational environment. Good interpersonal skills and the
ability to work with and supervise a team. Strong communication,
leadership, and judgment skills.
