Post-doctoral Positions at KTH
The School of Electrical Engineering, www.ee.kth.se, KTH - the Royal
Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden invites applications
from outstanding candidates for post-doctoral research positions. A
strong research and publication record is required. The duration of
the position is 12 months and may be extended for an additional 12
months. The preferred starting date is September 2006.
We are seeking candidates to conduct research in two areas:
1) Sensor networks, in particular protocol design, routing algorithms
and data link scheduling. The research will be part of the CROPS
project,
which is run in cooperation with NTNU in Trondheim, Norway, and TKK in
Helsinki, Finland. For more details see the project description at
www.s3.kth.se/commth/projects/CROPS/. The position is for WP 4:
Network communication.
The candidate should have experience from research in one or more of
the areas: performance evaluation, protocol design and wireless
networking. A strong background in analysis of data networks, such as
queuing theory, is expected; knowledge of communication theory for
wireless communication is a merit.
2) Multimedia networking within one or more of our ongoing research
areas: content distribution in wired and wireless networks, including
peer-to-peer networking, end-system multicast and delay-tolerant
networking; host-based quality of service provisioning, and wireless
local area networks.
The candidate should have experience from research in one or more of
the areas: performance evaluation, wireless networking, and network
systems design. A strong background in analysis of data networks is
expected, as well as good software skills and experience with prototype
development.
